Nokia sales reduce as Samsung’s increase


Nokia is now no longer the best selling handset manufacturer. Samsung have continued to grow year on year and have now overtaken Nokia with the Number 1 spot.

The mobile phone industry has notoriously been fluctuanting with sales continually going up and down through the year. Nokia has historically been at the top since the late 1990’s as their classic designs and easy to use interface was well known and loved by millions of people. These days although Nokia is still a very dominant player, they are no longer at the top of the tree. So why would this happen? Well the main reason is the Android system for smartphones.

Mobile phone providers instructed to provide clearer bills



Great Britain’s mobile phone telecommunications chairman recently declared that he would like mobile phone businesses to produce increased clarity for customers to avoid unexpected bills. The statement covered all mobiles phone contracts, including pay monthly, pay as you go and SIM only deals.

The reason for the announcement was because year on year mobile phone clients across the county receive large bills for their mobile phone usage that include unexpected inclusions of additional minutes, text and data that the user may have incurred over their inclusive package.

As more and more people becoming wise to these unexpected bills, mobile phone companies are seeing an increase in sim only contracts, as these particular contracts minimize the bills issued each month.

Ofcom: Landline and broadband services are weak than cellular phones.


Ofcom (the UKs communication regulator) has released a report that claims that client satisfaction is greater with Cellphone users that broadband or landline customers.

Ofcom executed significant investigation over the UK and the final result revealed that client satisfaction levels had been drastically much higher in cellphone users than in landline and internet users.
